12 you’s of Christmas

God specializes in using the inadequate for the extraordinary! Our inadequacy is actually our qualification. The Christmas story and your story are rooted in the miracle presence of God in your life—Jesus is with you! If you are in Christ this morning, you have been blessed with far more than gold, frankincense and myrrh—blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. You are blessed with everything you need for what God is calling you to, there is no lack!

12 You’s of Christmas • Day 01

The scriptures say “The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”  This says to us that God does the most amazing things with the least likely people! The Christmas story reinforces this! God specializes in using the inadequate for the extraordinary! Our inadequacy is our qualification.

12 You’s of Christmas • Day 02

YOU are highly favored, because according to Ephesians 1:6 He made us accepted (highly favored) in the Beloved. If you are in Christ then, you are highly favored. And this high favor of God is the miraculous manifestation of the blessing of God and Presence of God on your life. And this favor causes the miraculous will of God to become reality for you!

12 You’s of Christmas • Day 3

Joseph was called to do a risky thing by the angel of the Lord. And because he took a risk, a miracle happened. Beloved, don’t be afraid of the risky process of taking part in the miracle. Too often we look at things through fear instead of faith and we get paralyzed from participating in God’s miraculous plan. When God told Joseph to call the baby’s name Jesus, Joseph did so, even before his name (salvation) came to be. We need to start calling, naming and life-ing that thing God has promised you and me.

12 You’s of Christmas • Day 4

YOU have been given good tidings of great joy (Lk 2:10)! This is what God has for YOU in Christ! The message of Jesus is good news and great joy because according to Ephesians 1:3-14– you are blessed, chosen, holy, blameless, loved, adopted, highly favored, redeemed, forgiven, sealed- all by believing and receiving, not working, striving and earning!

12 You’s of Christmas • Day 5

Today was all about the fact that as followers of Jesus–YOU have signs for confirmation. In Lk 2:12 we see the angel of the Lord saying to the shepherds, “this will be a sign to you” and describing how they would find Jesus. You see, beloved, God in His goodness provides signs for us to confirm we’re heading in the right direction, doing His will, cooperating in His plan. And these signs, these promises lead to us finding what God has promised. Our job is to ask, seek, knock, and the door will be opened to us. We can be comforted by the fact that in our seeking, the Lord will speak to us and show us the way because we are His sheep and can hear His voice.
